My passion for emergency medicine is what made me join Shifa International hospital 8 years ago. Since then, it has been a journey of self discovery, learning, and growth. I am here today because of my parents, my mentors, and my colleagues, who were there for me at every turn of the way.
Being in the stressful environment of Emergency is not without its downside. We feel the pain of each patient, and after every encounter, no matter the outcome, we have to pull ourselves together, muster up every bit of courage, and try to help another person get through one of the most difficult day of their life with compassion, dignity and excellence. There is no margin of error, each and every decision has life hanging in the balance. And through all this, what shines is the help of one ‘s colleagues, the support of one’s mentors, the collective effort of the team. This teamwork, the endeavour of many to save one, is what keeps our hopes alive, and each successful outcome gives us a new life and vigour.
I stand here, apparently alone, but with me, and within me, is the work of an entire team of dedicated professionals, the realization of the enormity of my responsibility, and the resolve to uphold the traditions and honour of the noble profession.

Clinical Hematology has been more than a specialty for me – it’s been a calling. Each day at Shifa International Hospital brings new challenges, and with them, new lessons in humility, perseverance, and care.
As a resident, I’ve come to realize that growth isn’t always loud. Sometimes, it’s in the quiet moments with patients, in early morning rounds, or in the resolve to keep learning, no matter how long the shift.
Being recognized as Resident of the Month is a deeply humbling milestone. I’m grateful to my mentors, my colleagues, and most of all, my patients – each one has shaped me into the clinician I am becoming.
Here’s to showing up, staying curious, and serving with purpose – one day, one patient at a time.
