Undergraduate Program
Shifa International Hospital is offering undergraduate programmes in a wide range of disciplines. These programs are designed to produce qualified medical professionals who are ready to contribute expertly and have a tendency to raise the standard of living in their communities.
Philosophy of Undergraduate Program
Shifa International Hospitals Ltd. along with providing medical services to their patients also focuses on the holistic development of learners and endorses a well-rounded curriculum. Students from different disciplines and departments of Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University STMU join SIHL for clinical and practical training during their clinical years, as a mandatory requirement of the degree. The clerkship program aims to provide quality exposure to each student in their respective fields. It provide students with great opportunity to put into practice the knowledge that they have acquired during the pre-clinical years and to further perform their technical skills under the supervision of highly qualified healthcare professionals. The duration of the clerkship varies as per program curriculum and guidelines from accreditation bodies.
Students from over twenty programs attend SIHL for clinical training, where they will be exposed to a variety of clinical disciplines including all areas of Medical-Surgical, Mental Health, Leadership and Management. In addition, SIHL supports the faculty and students in research projects at Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University. This provides rich teaching material for undergraduate students.
MBBS
MBBS students from Shifa College of Medicine attend SIHL during 3rd year, 4th year and final year. During their clerkship, they have the opportunity to rotate through all major departments i.e. Medicine, Surgery, Radiology, Gynecology & Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Anesthesia and many other allied specialties. During this time, the students receive comprehensive clinical exposure allowing them to gain a holistic experience in medical expertise but also emphasize 360-degree competencies that are essential for an enabled physician.
MBBS
MBBS students from Shifa College of Medicine attend SIHL during 3rd year, 4th year and final year. During their clerkship, they have the opportunity to rotate through all major departments i.e. Medicine, Surgery, Radiology, Gynecology & Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Anesthesia and many other allied specialties. Dental
Students of BDS from Shifa College of Dentistry attend SIHL during 3rd year. Students of BDS from Shifa College of Dentistry attend SIHL during 3rd year. During their clinical rotations they get to rotate in various medicine and surgery disciplines. During this time, the students are provided with comprehensive clinical exposure required to meet the academic needs at this point.
Nursing
Shifa college of Nursing is offering Ph.D. Nursing, MS Nursing (MSN), Post-RN Bachelor of Science in Nursing (PRN-BSN) and BS Nursing (BSN-Generic) where the students’ needs to get clinical exposure to a number of clinical disciplines. SIHL being the clinical site exposes students to clinical disciplines related to all areas of Medical-Surgical Nursing, Pediatric, Gynecology & Obstetrics etc. They also get the opportunity to experience not only the clinical disciplines but also Mental Health Nursing and Leadership & Management. This is done under the supervision of highly trained Nurses.

In Department of Rehabilitation Sciences STMU is offering a number of postgraduate and undergraduate programs which are MS-Physical Therapy, DPT-Doctor of Physical Therapy, BS-Speech Language Pathology and BS-Audiology. SIHL being the clinical site for the programs, students get to rotate in different disciplines of Medical and Surgical, Rehabilitation Centre, ENT, Audiology and more. The aim of these clinical rotations is to equip the students with professional knowledge, skills, techniques and ethical values. This enables them to apply in their acquired expertise at the level of multi-disciplinary team for the betterment of the patients. During this supervised clinical practice, students work closely with expert clinicians, highly experienced faculty where they get the real exposure, insights and valuable experience of Physical Therapy.

During these clinical rotations, the students get to rotate in outpatient pharmacies, inpatient pharmacies, clinical pharmacy services, take home pharmacy services, drug information center and compound area, where they are trained under highly qualified and experienced pharmacists.

During clinical rotations, BS clinical psychology and MS clinical psychology students get to rotate in areas like Psychiatry, Liver Transplant, Pain Clinic, Cardiology and more. Moreover, they get to experience practical demonstrations by using psychological tools and techniques for diagnosis of problems and remedies, in the field of clinical psychology. In these clerkships, they get to interact with patients who need psychologist attention, under the supervision of experienced clinicians and training psychologist/ psychiatrists.
